Description
Sidhya® Crete WP 500 is an effective waterproofing admixture designed for concrete applications for achieving hydrophobic and water repellence in concrete. Sidhya® Crete WP 500 can fulfill advance durability and quality requirements of critical projects by providing protection mechanism for cement matrix during the hydration process. The product can significantly reduce capillary water absorption and enhance the long term performance of concrete.
Applications
Sidhya® Crete WP 500 is water proofing admixture which can be used to minimize water permeability and absorption properties of concrete, plaster and cement sand mortars. The product improves the durability properties of concrete and hence can be used for the below applications:
- Concreting of foundations with high water table.
- Production of tunnel segments and shotcrete.
- Construction of basement floors and walls concrete.
- Construction of water tanks.
- Construction of drainage and sewage pipes.
- Reinforced concrete in marine environment.
- Can be used in water tight cement mortar.
Mixing
Sidhya® Crete WP 500 should be added to the fresh concrete after addition of 70 – 80% of water. It is recommended to use high shear mixers and mix for two minutes. The correct quantity of Sidhya® Crete WP 500 should be measured by means of a recommended dispenser.

Dosage
The recommended dosage of Sidhya® Crete WP 500 should be between 0.4% to 2.0% by
weight of cementitious. Reduction of water/cement ratio is also recommened. Increase in
dosage may lead to reduction in compressive strength should be considered while designing
the concrete mix.
The optimum dosage of the Sidhya® Crete WP 500 should be determined by preliminary trials
at site. The dosages above recommendation can be used if agreed by the client and
consultant for special applications along with consultation of Sidhya® technical team.
Compatibility
Sidhya® Crete WP 500 is compatible with all types of cement and binders such as GGBS, Ultra Fine GGBS, Micro silica, Fly ash and Metakaolin. Sidhya® Crete WP 500 when using along with other Sidhya® products should be added separately and must not be blended prior to addition.

Storage
Sidhya® Crete WP 500 has a shell life of 12 months provided the temperature is kept between +1.00C to +50.00C. Please contact Sidhya® technical team if the product falls outside the temperature range.
